World Series Game 1 - Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Yankees

2 Unit Wager: Philadelphia Phillies +159 vs. New York Yankees

Tonight is game 1 of the 2009 world series. The Philadelphia Phillies come into the matchup as defending world series champions, so why are they getting no respect? It's because the Yankees are the public's team. These two teams are evenly matched, but because the public loves the Yankees, all series long you will find great odds for the Phillies. Yes, CC Sbathia is starting tonight for New York, but Cliff Lee starting for Philadelphia, should be able to go inning for inning with CC. One huge advantage we should look for all series long is the base running by the Phillies. The Phillies were 7th in the MLB this year with 119 stolen bases and the Yankees were tied for 28th in MLB in throwing base runners out. Jorge Posada, the starting cathcer for the Yankees, can barely throw anyone out these days. If the Phillies can get their speedy runners (Jimmy Rollins, Shane Victorino, Chase Utley, Jayson Werth, and Ben Francisco) on base, look for Charlie Manuel to send them and even give the go ahead for double steals. Also, don't forget the Phillies played the Yankees in Yankee stadium this year and in all 3 games they had the lead going into the 9th inning. They ended up winning 2 out of 3 games. At +159 this line is to good to pass up. Put 2 units on the Phillies +159!

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Wahington Redskins - MNF 10/26

4 Unit Wager: Philadelphia Eagles -9 1/2 vs. Washington Redskins

This will be the Redskins first game all year against an opposing team with a win, so they should have a winning record, right? Well, the Redskins seem to have many problems on the field with their play calling, which is leading to a very poor offensive performance. Tonight will be the first week Jim Zorn is not calling the offense plays, instead Sherm Lewis has that right. This was an obvious decision because the Redskins have only averged a measly 13 PPG. But, tonight may be a tough start for Lewis and we should see the same stutter we've seen all season long. The Eagles are coming off a bitter loss to Oakland and their defense should be flying all over the field. The Eagles traded for Will Weatherspoon this week filling the middle linebacker position, which they desperately needed. Look for the Eagles defense to hold Washington under 13 points and Mcnabb and the Eagles offense to score at least 24. Put 4 units on this line Eagles -9 1/2 vs. Redskins!!! Let's end the week on a high note!

1 Unit Wager: Baltimore Ravens +3 vs. Minnesota Vikings - Baltimore has a bitter taste left in their mouth from the two previous weeks. They're ready to take it out on someone. Also, who have the Vikings really beat? The Niners on a hail mary and the Packers at home, let's see what they can do against Baltimore.

2 Unit Wager: Pittsburgh Steelers -14 vs. Cleveland Browns - Last week Derek Anderson completed 2 passes the entire game. With the offense Cleveland has, goodluck scoring against Pittsburgh with Polamalu back in the lineup.

1 Unit Wager: Houston Texans +5 1/2 vs. Cincinnati Bengals - Houston has now lost 2 games because they couldn't score from the 1 yard line. Look for the Texans to air the ball out and if not win at least cover this game.

5 Unit Wager: Kansas City Chiefs +6 vs. Washington Redskins - In the Redskins last 10 games, dating back to last year, under coach Zorn they have averaged 13.7 PPG. With a healthy Cassel starting at QB for the chiefs, they have actually looked like a competitive NFL team. 6 points is way to much for Washington to cover and don't be surprised if the Chiefs win this game outright.

1 Unit Wager: Seattle Seahawks -3 vs. Arizona Cardinals - The Seahawks are coming home off an impressive 41-0 win last week. Look for their high flying offense to continue and take down the Cardinals.

5 Unit Wager: New England Patriots - 9 1/2 vs. Tennessee Titans - After this game you will hear everyone asking the same question. Is Tom Brady back? Tom Brady is going to torch the Titans this weekend.

LA Angels vs. New York Yankees Game 1

LA Angels +1 1/2 (-135) vs. New York Yankees
The Angels head into New York for game 1 of the ALCS tonight. The Yankees and Angels split their head to head meetings 5-5 in the regular season this year. CC Sabathia started in 2 of those 10 games where he was 0-2 with a 6.08 ERA. The Angels are a team that can give Sabathia a lot of trouble, as they proved this season. During the regular season the Angels hit an impressive .328 against Sabathia knocking in 9 runs. The Angels love to play small ball and have a ton of speed on the bases. If the Angels hit Sabathia like they did in the regular seaons, we could see Sabathia pulled rather quickly. Sabathia tends to lose his focus on the batters he's facing when there are speedy runners on the base paths.

Another factor that benefits the Angels tonight is the Weather. As of now, at the start of game 1, they are calling for on and off showers with a game time temperature of 44°. We all know how powerful of a lineup the New York Yankees have and how the ball flies out of Yankee Stadium, but with this type of weather the ball should stay in the park.

This should be a close ball game and with the Angles getting +1 1/2 runs at only -135, this line is way too good to pass on. Lay 3 units on the Angles +1 1/2 tonight and watch your account grow!

Philadelphia Phillies vs. LA Dodgers Game 1

Philadelphia Phillies +125 vs. LA Dodgers

The Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers meet for the second consecutive year in the NLCS. Last year the Phillies defeated the Dodgers 4-1 in the series on their way to their first World Series title since 1980.

In game 1 tonight, the Dodgers send out their 21 year old, left-handed pitcher, Clayton Kershaw. At 21 years and 209 days, Kershaw will be the third-youngest Game 1 starter in postseason history. He will be opposed by fellow left-hander Cole Hamels. Cole Hamels looked sub-par in his performance in game 2 against the Colorado Rockies last series. But, there is one huge factor you need to consider when Hamels pitches. The Rockies game was a day start and when Hamels pitches during the day this year he was 0-6 with a 5.44 ERA. When Hamels pitches at night he was 10-5 with a 3.95 ERA. This is a huge difference and not to mention Hamels has a lifetime ERA of 1.00 when pitching under the lights in LA.

At plus +125 this line is to juicy to pass up. In my opinion I think the Phillies should be favored. Take the Phillies +125 here and place 5 units on it! Let's get this money boys!
